Find accurate health information
Find free advice, glossaries, and clinical definitions.
Find health information, advice and clinical definitions for anything you might need. There are plenty of free New Zealand-focused sites available for you to find trustworthy information in your own time.
Finding the right health information online can be tricky at times. Sometimes the information you find is full of jargon and written in a way only medical professionals would understand. Then there are times where you just don’t know if you can trust what you are reading
We have got you covered though. Whether it's information from organisations like the Paediatric Society, Health New Zealand's own resources, easy-to-understand explanations on Healthify, or walk-through videos from not-for-profits, you'll find the right source for you in one of the links below.
While these sites are excellent sources of information about illnesses, medicines, and other health topics, they are not medical services and don’t offer treatments. If you need medical attention, you should contact your GP (general practitioner i.e. family doctor) or dial 111 if it is an emergency. If you don’t currently have a GP and need help finding a doctor, have a look at our ‘Find a medical person’ page here.
