Find a medical person

Discover nearby healthcare and after-hours contacts.

There are lots of ways to find your closest healthcare provider, uncover who's open on weekends, and discover who to contact for after-hours medical support.

Sometimes it can be hard to book an appointment with your regular doctor on the same day you call them, or it might be the weekend and they’re not open. Thankfully, these days there are plenty of online or “virtual” care clinics where you can talk with a doctor over the phone or on a video call. These services can help you with a lot of the things that your regular GP can, but obviously can’t do physical examinations. If you are having a medical emergency and you need urgent care, call 111 immediately.

These virtual care clinics may cost more than seeing your regular GP, but usually cost less than going to traditional after‑hours care services. Therefore, you should consider how soon you need an appointment, how much it will cost you, and whether you would be best to see a doctor or nurse in-person.
