We want our website to be a fun and easy experience for everyone. Please let us know if you're having any difficulty using this site - whether it’s viewing and understanding the content, navigating the website, or anything in between. The New Zealand Web Accessibility standards are a great start, but we would love to do more and work with you to understand what you need.

What is web accessibility?

Accessible web content is content that has been designed and developed so that disabled people can easily use, view, and understand it. Accessible web content considers things like:

  • the different types of devices that disabled people use, including assistive technologies

  • the range of impairments and disabilities that people may experience

  • people’s changing abilities as they get older.

Things we do to make sure Firstport content is easy to read and understand include:

  • clear headings to break up text

  • descriptive links (not just “click here”)

  • a consistent look and feel to keep things calm

  • bullet points for complex info

  • simple, plain language with no jargon.
