The Rotorua Adaptive Tri is a new multisport event designed for tamariki and rangatahi in the Bay of Plenty region who have physical or intellectual disabilities.
The event organisers have structured the event as a a safe and supportive environment for participation in triathlon activities.
The event is open to people aged 5 and older. It includes the three traditional triathlon disciplines, with adjustments made to support participation. These adjustments may include varied distances, equipment support, and other accommodations.
The order of events for all distances will be Cycling, Running and Swimming. There are three levels of events for different fitness and confidence levels.

Once participants complete the event they will receive a medal and be invited to the BBQ at the end!
Organisers will work with individuals, families, and kura to adapt the event to meet the needs and goals of each participant.
