Navigating the disability support system can feel overwhelming — especially when you’re trying to resolve a specific problem and don’t know where to start. That’s why Flying Kites is launching a new initiative to help Auckland whānau get the clarity and guidance they need.

Flying Kites’ 1:1 Online Support Sessions connect you with an experienced disability advisor who can help you work through one key issue and create a practical plan to move forward. These two-appointment sessions are designed to help you feel informed, confident, and supported.

The advisors can currently support families with topics such as:

  • Leaving school (transition support) - understanding next steps, available pathways, and how to plan ahead.

  • Needs assessments - what NASC does, how the process works, and what you can expect.

  • Individualised Funding (IF) - setting up IF, understanding your options, and getting clarity on what’s possible.

  • Work and Income - guidance on available supports, entitlement

Registrations are open until August 2026 or until all spaces are filled.
