Plus One

Sibling relationships are often some of the longest and most meaningful in our lives, but they can also be complex.

Alongside love and connection, many siblings of people with Down syndrome carry worries about the future, family responsibilities, and changing support needs, often without spaces to talk openly.

Plus One is a new NZDSA project for siblings of people with Down syndrome aged 18+.

Led by sibling and disability sector professional Siobhan Vaccarino, Plus One offers online workshops where siblings can connect, share experiences, and explore the realities of sibling life in a safe, supportive space.

Plus One is proudly supported and funded by IHC New Zealand.
