What are ACE Workshops?

Over the years, Deaf Aotearoa have organised and provided various ACE workshops throughout Aotearoa New Zealand! We hope that you enjoyed them.

Every year, we ask you to fill out an enrolment form to be able to take part in ACE workshops. Now you will also need to provide your ID.  Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) from Ministry of Education (MoE) gives Deaf Aotearoa the funding to be able to provide free workshops for all Deaf community members, and now they require ID to see if you meet their funding criteria.

You must provide ID:

  • current passport

  • birth certificate

  • proof of NZ citizen or residency

Unfortunately, driver’s licence is not accepted. If you don’t have any of these IDs, you can get support from your local Facilitator here at Deaf Aotearoa.
