Whether your child is in a mainstream or special school, this seminar is a great opportunity to learn the legal ins and outs of the education system for children with disabilities. The session will cover:

  • enrolment rights

  • decision processes around special education

  • appealing an Ongoing Resource Scheme (ORS) funding decline

  • when schools request that parents help fund a teacher aide

  • when schools ask parents for funding for student support at extra-curricular camps and activities

  • standing children down from school

  • and much more.

The seminar will be presented by Nan Jensen, a barrister and solicitor who has been involved in the disability sector since 1998.
