Separate wheelchair carriage on the train and well-maintained paths

An anonymous review

We ate breakfast, rode the train, fed the farm animals and meandered through the butterfly enclosure. There was a separate wheelchair carriage on the train and lots of well-maintained paths. Plenty of staff available to help open the gates etc. There is an accessible toilet and lots of wide open spaces. There is a special care-giver pricing on the entrance fee.

Check with staff prior to your visit whether they have any school holiday programmes or school groups visiting as they tend to let the children use the accessible toilets when they break for lunch due to the size of their group. Find out what special exhibits are coming up and what time feeding takes place. Wear clothes that can be removed easily if you overheat in the hot butterfly enclosure.

Highlight: Eating breakfast in the restaurant and having enough space for the wheelchair and not feel overcrowded by pushchairs. Having staff available to help move between exhibits and talking directly with the person in the wheelchair, on their level was great.
