This Mental Health Awareness Week, join Special Olympics New Zealand and educational psychologist Cathy Robson for a webinar exploring practical ways to recognise and navigate big feelings — in ourselves and others.
The webinar will cover how to:
recognise big feelings in ourselves and others
understand what happens in our brain and body
respond with practical tools including mindfulness, calming techniques, strong thoughts, and reframing
connect by supporting ourselves and others.
This webinar is open to people with intellectual disabilities, whānau and caregivers, Special Olympics coaches and volunteers, education professionals, residential caregivers, inclusive employers, and anyone supporting people with intellectual disabilities.
