G'day! I’m Lachlan Nagle,
Born in Australia but proudly calling New Zealand home. Autistic and 24 my journey’s been a bit unique. Despite the challenges, I’ve found my groove, especially with a passion for gaming and connecting with others.
By day, I’m part of an Ilead initiative called Iconnect. It’s a project hosted on Facebook designed to bring people with invisible disabilities together. The idea is to create a supportive space where we can share our experiences and hear diverse perspectives. It’s an incredible way to connect, relate, and learn from each other, and I’ve enjoyed being a part of this community.
A bit of history
My first console was a PS2, and I still get nostalgic thinking about the hours I spent playing on it. The Gameboy Advance was another childhood favourite, thanks to Uncle Bob! One of the highlights has been connecting with the anime community through Gundam Evolution. It’s always fun engaging with others who share a passion for both gaming and anime. The sense of community and shared interests is something I truly value, and it’s been a blast making new friends and discovering new games through these connections.
My current obsessions
As I’ve grown, I’ve always been drawn to immersing myself in entirely different worlds through games. Originally, I gravitated towards open-world adventures, relishing the freedom and exploration they offered. These days, though, I’ve shifted gears a bit with the thrill of racing and perfecting my driving skills a new favourite pastime.
Some gaming advice…only if you wanted it
I’ve never been one to chase big-name titles. Instead, I find a lot of joy in indie games, which are often more affordable and provide a refreshing twist on traditional gameplay. I’d suggest finding that perfect balance between work and play, and indie games fit the bill perfectly. They offer innovative mechanics and fresh perspectives, making them a joy to dive into.
My current setup!
I’m pretty pleased with my gear. I’ve got an RTX 3060 graphics card and an Intel Core i5 8th Gen processor. While the core might not be the latest and greatest, the graphics unit is impressive and handles my games smoothly. I’ve also got a backup GTX 950, just in case. My dual-screen setup includes a main monitor with a 170Hz refresh rate, an Asus VGQL18, which makes for a smooth and immersive gaming experience.
Things I'm Eager For
I’m also excited about diving into video creation. I’ve recently started experimenting with my DSLR camera and am looking forward to making some awesome content. I I’m thinking of doing in-depth comparisons and ratings, maybe even a scale from 1 to 10 to rate different games and gear.
I’m excited to see how I can adapt my gaming and tech activities to fit my unique needs.
So that’s a bit about me—Lachlan Nagle, a gamer with a love for indie titles, a passion for connecting with others, and an ever-evolving setup.
