Setting up PS5 Control, easy or not?

The new PlayStation 5 Access Controller has been put to the test. And my initial impressions highlight both its innovative and challenging aspects.

To test the controller, I jumped into Goat Simulator, a popular game that’s all about causing chaos as a goat. The quirky nature of the game made it a fun testing ground. For instance, one of the key actions in the game—ramming into things—wasn’t immediately obvious when using the Access Controller. I had to experiment with the buttons to figure out the controls, and even then, it took time to get use to the control. Despite this, breaking through the fence was achieved, a small victory in mastering the new setup.

One feature that was much appreciated was the ability to customise the button layout. The controller, split into two parts, felt slightly reminiscent of arcade joysticks, though it requires a tactile adjustment. I discovered it only allows for up, down, left, and right configurations. It makes the controller feel a bit rigid, but I see where other people might enjoy this especially if they’re used to customising their gaming gear.

My first experience with the controller was extremely fun and sparked curiosity for further testing. What are your thoughts on my set up?
