Are you caring for a disabled, neurodiverse or health-impaired family member? This workshop is a space for you to regroup. Essential for families and whānau new to the world of disability, or as a refresher course for those further down the track, look after your health and wellbeing with the Renew, Connect & Reflect workshop.
  • RENEW: your coping strategies for dealing with challenges and stress.
  • CONNECT: with other parents and caregivers in the same situation. Many participants say they feel understood for the first time.
  • REFLECT: on your needs as well as those of your family, to strengthen connection, communication and confidence—and build collective resilience.

This revised RENEW Course is facilitated by Karen Miles, CE of Parent to Parent. With a degree in psychology, family counselling expertise, and experience across family-led services worldwide, Karen is well-used to supporting people through challenges.

Our guest speaker is Andrea Lee. Andrea is a local mother of two, President of Parent to Parent’s National Board and a Support Parent. Parent to Parent became part of Andrea’s life in 2007 when her son was diagnosed with a rare genetic condition.

With a BA in Sociology, Andrea is the Executive Director for Fragile X New Zealand and has over 30 years of experience in the not-for-profit sector.

Plus we’re celebrating Parent to Parent’s 40th Anniversary!
