Kia Noho Rangatira Ai Tātou is a unique education programme that was developed by Te Pou and the Disabled Persons Assembly. The programme puts human rights for disabled people and the Disability Convention into a New Zealand cultural context. This 10-hour online workshop series will be held over four 2.5 hour modules.

The aim of the online workshop is to increase participants understanding of the Disability Convention and Human Rights, and to apply this understanding to practical situations. It is applicable to participants personal and professional lives.

This 10-hour online workshop series will be held in four 2.5 hour modules, starting Tuesday 25 July from 9.30am to 12pm and continuing on Thursday 27 July, Tuesday 1 August and Thursday 3 August 2023. Each module will be held at the same time, 9.30am to 12pm with a short break.

We ask that you respect the kaupapa of Kia Noho Rangatira Ai Tātou and attend all four webinar modules.

This four-session Kia Noho Rangatira Ai Tātou online workshop series has been funded by Whaikaha Ministry of Disabled People and is free to those with a Disability Support Service contract. If you do not have a contract, please contact Te Pou and we will discuss our cost recovery pricing. Please do enquire as we don’t want cost to be a barrier to participation.
