Coromandel Independent Living Trust (CILT)

These services include transport to hospital appointments, free access to nine computers in three sites, programmes for those with a disability in Coromandel and Whitianga, and initiating training and employment opportunities. Our 31 paid staff and 56 volunteers all have a responsibility for providing information. We are licensed by the Graeme Dingle Foundation to run the Kiwi Can in Coromandel, Colville and Thames schools.

As part of our Whanau Social Services, we deliver the Incredible Years Parenting programme, Strengthening Families and social work. We are a Heartland Service Centre and have video conferencing facilities which are utilised for distant learning and meetings.

CILT is the only registered community housing provider on the Coromandel Peninsula and as such we own and manage 14 dwellings. Our environmental initiatives include management of the Refuse Transfer Station, the Re-use Centre and a local walking track.
