Wētā Workshop is your gateway to filmmaking creativity. Join our guided tours and learn about the making of movie effects, from armour to weapons, creatures to costumes, make-up to miniatures, and more!

We'd recommend using a wheelchair with brakes, as there are slight inclines and declines throughout the experience. Our fantastical film effects workshop can accommodate wheelchairs and/or mobility scooters in all areas, bar the horror house. Your host will direct you through an alternative route.

Although pushchairs are not recommended for this experience, we are happy to discuss alternative options. Please contact usto explore this further.

Individuals who are sensitive to stimuli could experience sensory overload. Unfortunately, lighting changes throughout the experience could trigger those with epilepsy.

We are continually improving and enhancing our experiences to ensure we can cater for as wide an audience as possible. This includes visual and hearing-impaired visitors.

What does the venue say?

We are dedicated to making your experience as safe and enjoyable as possible. Wētā Workshop Unleashed is located on level 5 at 88 Federal St, Auckland. Elevator access is available via Federal Street and Albert Street. All guest parking is located at Skycity's main site. You'll find accessibility car parks available on every level, located nearby the elevators.
