Rotorua

The Skyline Gondola is the best way to see Rotorua. Take in spectacular views as you ascend up the 900 metre long Doppelmayr cableway system. View Lake Rotorua, the city and steaming geothermal vistas during this gentle and calming experience. Once you have reached the top of the mountain, there are plenty of things to do. Take a picture with the Rotovegas sign or visit the Jelly Belly store. Try the high-quality dishes at Market Kitchen café or take part in a wine tasting at the Volcanic Hills Winery. All while enjoying the breath-taking views of Rotorua.

Queenstown

Visitors can now experience the brand-new Gondola featuring spacious 10-seat cabins, replacing the 4-seaters that were in operation for 36 amazing years. There has also been an extensive expansion of the base and upper terminals including a new ticketing hall, expansion of the top complex, new luge tracks, plus more, ready to welcome the growing number of visitors heading to Queenstown.

What does the venue say?

The Luge is open to people of all ages and abilities. At the Luge Supervisor’s discretion, the Luge team will assist in any way we can to enable a guest with a disability to enjoy the Luge experience. Please ask a staff member for assistance. 

The Gondola can be stopped on request for wheelchair users. Assistants are specially trained to help wheelchair users on and off the gondola.

The Skyline complex is wheelchair-friendly, and we often welcome guests in wheelchairs or with any other special requirements. We will always ensure they are fully supported and catered for. They are able to slow or even stop the Gondolas if needed.
