Government House, home of the Governor-General, offers free guided tours of the house and gardens. The house was built in 1910 and has a category 1 heritage listing.

Tours can be booked online or arranged by emailing/calling the visitor centre: bookings@govthouse.govt.nz (04) 382 0837.
