A lovely walk through the park looking at birds, trout and reptiles. You can feed the eels and see the Kiwis. Cafe with plenty of inside/outside seating with a huge playground for the kids with a flying fox. A beautiful tranquil place and a lot of fun. We took our own food to eat ni the playground/cafe which was allowed.
Would say to others: Definitely go! Kids and adults of all ages will love it. Take your own food, don't forget sunscreen and water bottles if going in the summer. Perhaps a change of clothes for kids just in case.
Top highlight: The highlight was the Big Splash! An awesome ride where you are taken up into another world, floating along the canal and seeing a bit of history. (Please note: there are some restrictions to who can ride Big Splash - please check the website for more details).
How accessibility features improve the visit: There were accessible toilets, wide pathways, plenty of rails to hold on to and seating scattered through the walk for those that needed a rest. The railing was good and steady to help support you as you walked along.
