Bring your friends and whānau and enjoy multi-cultural performances, Māori culture, activities, and kai.
Te Rā o Waitangi 2025 acknowledges tūrangawaewae and whakapapa for all - where is the place you lay down your roots? Where is your family from? It is a celebration of the things we share and the things about us that are different.
Come and see the artwork created by artists Keri-Mei Zagrobelna (Te Āti Awa/Whānau-ā-Apanui) and Tina Rae Carter (Scottish, Celtic, Nordic, Anglo-Saxon, NZ European). This work explores the things that all New Zealanders share, and all the things that make us unique. The work was commissioned in 2024 and adorns the stage in 2025.
