Are you looking for something a little different for your event or workshop? The Firstport StoryPod is an interactive, immersive experience for visitors, where they can view photos and videos, listen to stories and share their own experiences of life with a disability.
Watch the video below featuring Firstport's Caleb and Laura demonstrating the Storypod.
Firstport StoryPod - Live at Show Your Ability
Check out our StoryPod at Show Your Ability! Take a look at the beautiful photos from our Life through a Lens competition, take a walk around the show while listening to some of the amazing stories from our In My Own Words series and even share some of your own stories and experiences in our #FirstportBiteSize video spot! We'll also be in Palmerston North on Friday and Christchurch on MondayPosted by Firstport on Monday, 25 February 2019
Inspired by our Life through a Lens and In My Own Words series, the StoryPod offers:
- Life through a Lens gallery – browse the beautiful images sent in by people in New Zealand which reflect their view of life with a disability. You can explore the gallery online, or take a look through our unique photo book and enjoy the personal stories that accompany the photos. View the Life Through a Lens photo gallery.
- In My Own Words podcast – Immerse yourself in the wonder of other peoples’ stories by listening to one of our podcast episodes on an MP3 player. Feel free to take a walk around while you listen, or settle into one of our Firstport chairs in the StoryPod.
- Firstport Bitesize – Fancy sharing your story? You can in our Bitesize series! Choose from a selection of questions to answer and share your thoughts on camera. These little clips go on to make up some fantastic videos to help give people an insight into other people’s lives. Watch videos from the Bitesize series.
As well as all these great features, our StoryPod also carries some great promotional materials about how Firstport can help people living with a disability, and their whanau. It’s also a fantastic resource for health professionals such as Occupational Therapists and assessors, as well as Disability Information Centres to help signpost people to the information they need.
Please do get in touch with us about bringing our StoryPod to your event. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee our StoryPod can attend every event request but we welcome the opportunity to chat with you about your requirements in more detail to see what could be possible.
