Share your story in Firstport's new video series

Do you have lived experience of disability? You could help others who are also on that journey.

We’re looking for people from around New Zealand who are keen to share their disability stories in a new Firstport video series. The series will focus on the different ways disabled people in New Zealand live their lives, including the services and support they access.

Whether you live with a disability or you share your life with someone who does, we’d love to help you share your experiences.

The purpose of the video series

The purpose of the video series is to showcase the support that is available to disabled people from the perspective of someone with lived experience of disability.

What's involved

A member of the Firstport team will be in touch to arrange a day and time for the interview, and to let you know what topics we’ll talk about.

For the interview, we will either visit you for filming, or will conduct the interview through an internet video call (which we will record). Altogether, filming would likely take 2-3 hours if filmed in person, or about an hour if done over a video call.

Once the video has been filmed and edited, we will send it to you for review before we publish it on the Firstport website and social media channels.

We'll respond to your form submission within 10 business days. Unfortunately, we can't guarantee that we'll be able to publish everyone's stories.
